Ongoing collaborative art project

As the founder and director of the Moree Arts Community Centre, Moj Habibi has established an inclusive space where art becomes a meeting ground for dialogue, healing, and creative expression. Since its opening in 2023, the centre has grown into a place of shared presence, where children, Elders, and artists work side by side, shaping clay and sharing stories.

Her projects are guided by listening, care, and reciprocity, and are carried out with deep respect for the communities she works alongside. Whispers Between Lands was created with the blessing and permission of Kamilaroi Elders, whose wisdom and guidance shaped the process. Through this collaboration, Persian and Kamilaroi/Gomilaroi traditions came together in resonance, weaving shared symbolism and storytelling into a collective installation.

For Habibi, art is both a personal practice and a shared journey—an ongoing dialogue that nurtures connection, resilience, and transformation.
